The Question Is Answered: Now what?

The 1993 20th annual meeting of the American Association of Diabetes Educators (AADE) had a joyous overtone because it was the beginning of the celebration of 20 years of work and dedication. The record attendance of over 1,900 individuals listened to excellent presentations on a variety of exciting topics. Much of the meeting emphasized the recently publicized findings of the Diabetes Control and Complications Trial (DCCT). The results of the trial generated a tremendous amount of enthusiasm and optimism. It now appears that the question is finally answered.
