In the sixth paragraph of the article, the authors believe they may have given Dr. Bray’s bench research and his collaborations with David York, PhD less attention than they deserved. This paragraph has been rewritten to outline the long-term friendship and collaborative research efforts of the two men.
In the third paragraph on p. 1483, the article states that the International Congress on Obesity (ICO) was held at the Royal College of Surgeons. It was held at the Royal College of Physicians. Also in that paragraph, the beginning of the International Association for the Study of Obesity, the Organizing Committee met in Brighton, U.K., and the first meeting was in Israel.
