80th Scientific Sessions
Due to the global COVID-19 pandemic, the American Diabetes Association has made the decision to transition the 12–16 June 2020 Scientific Sessions from a live, in-person meeting to a virtual meeting over the same dates. The Scientific Sessions offers researchers and health care professionals an amazing opportunity to share ideas and learn about the significant advances in diabetes research, treatment, and care. Diabetes Core Update and Special COVID-19 Podcasts
Diabetes Core Update is a monthly audio podcast devoted to presenting and discussing the latest clinically relevant articles from the American Diabetes Association’s scholarly journals. A special edition podcast featuring some of the latest information on clinical aspects of COVID-19, especially as it relates to diabetes, is now also available. Diabetes is Primary
Diabetes Is Primary, originally planned to be held in Chicago, IL, on 12 June 2020, is now in the process of transitioning to a virtual meeting. This continuing education opportunity brings together health care professionals interested in the clinical management of diabetes and its complications for an innovative educational initiative developed specifically for the primary care community. 35th Annual Clinical Conference on Diabetes
The 35th Annual Clinical Conference on Diabetes has been postponed and will take place in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, 27–30 May 2021 at the Sawgrass Marriott Golf Resort & Spa. Developed specifically to share current clinical information utilizing different teaching methods, the conference will provide a comprehensive update on the treatment of diabetes, cardiovascular disease, obesity, and comorbidities. Standards of Medical Care in Diabetes—2020
The American Diabetes Association “Standards of Medical Care in Diabetes” is based on a complete review of the relevant literature by a diverse group of highly trained clinicians and researchers. After weighing the quality of evidence, from rigorous double-blind clinical trials to expert opinion, recommendations are drafted, reviewed, and submitted for approval to the American Diabetes Association Executive Committee.
