Diabetes in pregnancy is associated with greater risk of maternal and fetal complications. However, studies exploring the impact of race and ethnicity on pregnancy outcomes using real-world data are limited. This study compared differences in established risk factors and pregnancy outcomes by diabetes status and race/ethnicity. The analysis showed h diabetes diagnosis was associated with worse outcomes overall. The increased risk of serious maternal and fetal outcomes associated with diabetes varied disproportionately by race/ethnicity.
