Both Regular and globin-type insulins interfered with storage of vitamin A in the livers of rats by all routes of injection. Regular insulin, injected subcutaneously, had the least effect. Injected insulin increased the rate of depletion of previously stored vitamin A from the liver. Alloxan diabetes had no effect upon liver storage of ingested vitamin A nor upon the rate of depletion of vitamin A from the liver.
