A new study of work absentee statistics was made of 108 employed diabetics, observed for an average of 4.3 years. The individuals in this group were absent on an average of 6.3 days per work year. The diabetic study group, age-matched to other studies of absenteeism in nondiabetics, compared favorably with the non-diabetics.
