Prevalence of Post-glucose-Load Glycosuria and Hypoglycemia in a Group of Healthy Young Men

Plasma glucose determinations were performed on 4,928 men, and 4,720 urine samples were surveyed for sugar by Tes-Tape two hours after the ingestion of 100 gm. of glucose. Glycosuria of 1 to 4+ was found in 19.3 per cent of the urine specimens. A plasma glucose of 59 mg./100 ml. or less was found in 24.4 per cent of the group.
