Other Potentially Useful Rodents as Models for the Study of Human Diabetes Mellitus

There are several other rodent models, not described in the previous papers, that are also suitable for studies of human diabetes mellitus. All have advantages and disadvantages depending on the type of investigation being undertaken. The most useful models and the characteristics which could make them valuable in diabetes research are described.
