On the basis of the recommendation of the American Diabetes Association’s Panel on Ethical Scientific Programs (ESP), the American Diabetes Association, the publisher of Diabetes, is issuing this expression of concern to alert readers to the following instances of panel duplication in the above-cited article.
In the third blot from the top of Fig. 1A, lanes 0 and 05 appear to be possible duplicates, with size and contrast adjustments.
In the third blot from the top of Fig. 2B, lanes 1, 3, and 4 appear to be possible duplicates, with orientation and contrast adjustments.
In the p-eNOS blot of Fig. 2E, lanes 3 and 5 appear to be possible duplicates, with size and contrast adjustments.
In the p-Akt blot in Fig. 3A, lanes 1 and 3 appear to be possible duplicates, with size and contrast adjustments.
In the p-ERK1/2 blot in Fig. 3A, lanes 1 and 3 appear to be possible duplicates, with size and contrast adjustments.
