On the basis of the recommendation of the American Diabetes Association’s (ADA’s) Panel on Ethical Scientific Programs (ESP), the ADA, the publisher of Diabetes, is issuing this expression of concern to alert readers to the following three instances of duplicated panels in the above-cited article:
Fig. 1E “Control, P-STAT1” and Fig. 2B “Control, P-STAT1” are duplicates.
Fig. 1E “Control, DAPI” and Fig. 2B “Control, DAPI” are duplicates.
Fig. 1E “Control, Merge” and Fig. 2B “Control, Merge” are duplicates.
The University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center (OUHSC) has reviewed information and materials brought forward by the corresponding author. OUHSC has determined that information provided by the corresponding author supports the publication of an erratum to address these issues and, therefore, has advised the corresponding author to submit a proposed erratum to the journal.
Once the ESP has had an opportunity to review a proposed erratum and supporting materials, it will issue a recommendation to the ADA on how to update the status of this article.
