On the cover: Three-dimensional volume view of cleared gonadal adipose tissue from adipocyte glucocorticoid receptor–deficient mice (AdipoGR-KO). Adipocytes are depicted in different colors, and vessels are shown in red. The upper image shows the adipose tissue in the form of a cube, and the lower image shows the same cube with the upper part of the adipose tissue removed to reveal the high density of the vascular network. This image is courtesy of Jérôme Gilleron (Université Côte d’Azur, INSERM, C3M, Team Cellular and Molecular Pathophysiology of Obesity, Nice, France) and Marthe Moldes (Sorbonne Université, INSERM, Centre de Recherche Saint-Antoine, and Institute of CardioMetabolism and Nutrition, Paris, France). The article “Adipocyte Glucocorticoid Receptor Activation With High Glucocorticoid Doses Impairs Healthy Adipose Tissue Expansion by Repressing Angiogenesis” appears in this issue of Diabetes (p. 211).
Authors are invited to submit images for use on the cover of Diabetes. Black and white or color photographic or photomicrographic images are acceptable. Cover image submission and selection is completely independent of article submission and the peer-review process.
