Instructions for First Look

Please follow these instructions to access BioRender premium with your manuscript number. A Graphical Abstracts Editor will contact you to finalize the graphical abstract for your article.

1. Create an account using the ADA BioRender portal: https://app.biorender.com/portal/ada.
2. Enter your Diabetes Care manuscript number.
3. If you did not enter your manuscript number during the sign-up process, you will be prompted to enter it to unlock BioRender Premium.
4. Work with the Graphical Abstracts Editor to finalize your graphical abstract. Our Editor can also provide assistance by sending a BioRender template for editing within the BioRender platform.
5. Upload images or start from a BioRender template. We suggest typing in "journal graphical abstract" when searching for a template within BioRender.

6. When your graphical abstract is complete, you may export the file for your records. The Graphical Abstract Editor will ensure your final graphical abstract image is entered into ScholarOne Manuscripts to continue with the publication process.

Have an existing BioRender account?

1. Log in with your BioRender credentials on the journal’s portal at: https://app.biorender.com/portal/ada.
2. Scroll down to the bottom of your Profile, under Edit Profile & Settings, and locate Journal Settings.
3. Toggle “Use workspace with style guide restrictions for journals” on.
4. Input your manuscript number into the box below the toggle and click Add.
