Jerry Yee, MD, is chief of the Division of Nephrology and Hypertension at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Mich. He also serves as medical director of Greenfield Health Systems in Bingham Farms, Mich., and is a clinical professor of medicine at Wayne State University in Detroit. Dr. Yee is board-certified in internal medicine, with a subspecialty in nephrology.FIG1 

In addition to serving on the editorial boards of publications such as Advances in Chronic Kidney Disease, American Journal of Nephrology,Clinical Nephrology, and Nephrology and Urology News, Dr. Yee lectures on topics including diabetic nephropathy, chronic kidney disease(CKD), anemia management in CKD, acid-base and electrolyte disorders,automation in medicine, and end-stage renal disease. He has written numerous articles published in peer-reviewed journals including the American Journal of Kidney Disease and Kidney International. His current research focuses on prevention of CKD, anemia of CKD, diabetic kidney disease,CKD surveillance, and secondary prevention of subcortical strokes.

Dr. Yee is a member of the American Medical Association, the American College of Physicians, the American Physiology Society, the American Society of Nephrology, the International Society of Nephrology, the National Kidney Foundation, the Renal Physicians Association, the Wayne County Medical Association, and the Michigan State Medical Society.
