Data are means ± SE. Significant differences between men and women were present for all variables. With increasing age, there was a significant decline in FFM and significant increases in percent body fat, total abdominal fat, and visceral fat (P < 0.01). Correlation coefficients between these variables and age are shown in Table 2.
