Males selected based on age 2 years above or below 11.7 years and with wild-type MC3R alleles 6T/81V, because subject with Ala70Thr is homozygous for wild-type allele.
Females selected based on age 2 years above or below 13.1 years and homozygous for 6K/81I, because subject with Ile183Asn is homozygous for 6K/81I. All control subjects that fulfilled age criteria are included in the analysis.
