Data are means ± SE (n = 5–12 per group). dhBBR was provided in the HFD (100 mg · kg−1 · day−1) for the final 2 weeks of high-fat feeding. Fat pad weights are expressed as a percentage of body mass. Plasma levels of glucose and insulin were similar among the three groups during the clamp (data not shown). Rg′, insulin-stimulated glucose uptake during the clamp (μmol/100 g · min).
