| Definite venous beading in 2+ quadrants | |
| Prominent intraretinal microvascular abnormalities in 1+ quadrant | |
| And no signs of proliferative retinopathy | |
| PDR | One or more of the following: |
| Neovascularization | |
| Vitreous/preretinal hemorrhage |
